The Story

On the last gusty afternoon of autumn, a tiny acorn falls from the great oak — smaller than every other acorn that landed before him. While the rest tumble down the hill in giggling crowds, he decides something audacious: he will grow into a giant tree someday. Along his rolling journey he meets a worried squirrel, a tired hedgehog, and a sleepy old owl — each of them telling him gently to give up. He is, after all, very small. That night, he quietly digs himself into the dark soil anyway. Many seasons later, when a new generation of acorns falls beneath his enormous branches, he whispers down to them the same brave secret: the smallest seeds dream the tallest dreams.
