“Hululu turns red when Nuonuo is angry. Here's how she helps him turn blue again.”
Inside the little fox Nuonuo lives a small fuzzy monster called Hululu. Most of the time Hululu is blue and soft and rests quietly on her chest — but feelings change his colour. When her block castle comes crashing down he turns red and grows spikes, and Nuonuo's hands ball into fists.
Mama doesn't say "don't be angry." She kneels down, holds Nuonuo's hands, and teaches her to catch a star and blow a dandelion — breathe in, breathe out — then asks the only question that matters: "What do you need right now?" ("A hug.") Over three ordinary hard moments — a toppled castle, a morning when Mama has to leave, a puzzle piece that won't fit — Nuonuo learns to name the colour before it takes over.
It's okay to be angry. It's not okay to hit. And Mama always comes back. Ends with a fold-out calm-down routine and a Hululu feelings colour chart to try together.
